JOB DESCRIPTION: MASSAGE THERAPIST- Definition Sports Therapy - Glendora
Perform Massage Therapy, muscle manipulation and soft tissue therapy of the body to provide
treatment for medical conditions, injuries, or wellness maintenance.
Prepare a massage treatment room for the day and per guest. Clean tools, room and instruments.
Ensure the facility and massage tools are kept sterile and clean.
Administer massage therapy treatments to guests using hands or physical treatment aids and tools.
Confer with clients about their medical histories and problems with stress or pain to determine how
massage will be most helpful. Interview patients to gather medical information and provide a
customized massage therapy session.
Develop and propose client treatment plans that specify which types of massage are to be used that is
best for the individual guest.
Maintain, clean and sanitize treatment records after each massage session.
Assist front desk associates when needed.
Provide clients with guidance and information about techniques for body work improvement, and
stretching, strengthening, relaxation and rehabilitative exercises.
Refer clients to other types of therapists when necessary.
Chores around the facility including but not limited to; laundry duties, room cleanliness, break room,
restroom cleanliness, trash duties and overall facility cleanliness.
Efficiently and professionally produce SOAP notes for every client on the same day of the service.
